Cori Phinn, DVM
I am Dr. Cori Phinn, the veterinarian and owner of Coast Equine Veterinary Services. I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. I grew up riding, judging and training in the Santa Cruz County Pony Club. I graduated with Honors from California State University, Chico with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. I went on to Ross University to earn my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. I completed an intense year of training at Texas A & M for my clinical rotations. I then joined Triangle Equine Clinic in Raleigh, North Carolina for an internship working with two wonderful mentors, Dr. Sally Vivrette and Dr. Blades McKnight. When my training there was completed I returned to my hometown to help fulfill the growing need for quality horse care in our area. With the help and encouragement of other local equine veterinarians I founded Coast Equine Veterinary Services, Inc.
I live in Santa Cruz County with my quarter horse Maggie and my two “special” rescued dogs, Cody and Riley. In my free time I enjoy trail and pleasure riding with my Quarter horse, Maggie, taking horseback riding lessons in Larkin Valley on my black thoroughbred, Cairo, camping with my family and friends and snowboarding in Tahoe.
I look forward to developing a long relationship with you and your horses to provide them with the best care possible. Please call and I will be happy to schedule an appointment for you.
